Operation: Find new new renter(s)

July 28- _____: Need new renters (males or females or married couple + 1) 6 month lease or more desired

So I needed to find a new place to stay closer to work in Maadi. And did I ever find a great place! Nice big stove in the kitchen, AC’s in the bedroom, nice bathroom, great view from the living room, and roof access! Even more of a treat, the AC's don't use a lot of electricity! And it’s not isolated: less than 10 minutes from El Maadi Metro stop and about the same distance to Metro Market. AUC'ers: it's only about 15 minutes to the Midan Victoria bus stop. But my time in Cairo is coming to an end so, who wants to be the next lucky people to get this place? It’s only 3000le per month for the whole apartment. The area of Maadi is a tad more conservative that usual, so see above note about gender. Anyway, check out this blog for pictures of the place and more details.

About me: I'm American, 24, and have been in Cairo teaching English.
About the landlord: She's American/British residing in the US most of the time. There is an apartment manager in Maadi that speaks good English and is helpful for fixing things. If something breaks that wasn't your fault you shouldn't expect to pay out of your own pocket for it.

Detail Quick List:
Big Stove and Oven
On demand water heater (can’t run out)
Automatic washing machine
Iron, ironing board, clothes rack
Reverse osmosis water filtration system
A stocked kitchen- pots, pans, plates, glasses, utensils
Tile floors that really easy to clean
Vacuum Cleaner
Good Fridge and freezer
Microwave (already sold after July)
Blender
Recently remodeled bathroom
Spacious living and dining areas
Printer/scanner (the scanner works, but I can't find ink)
Satellite TV
Wireless Internet
***Roof Access*** (rooftop soirees anyone?)
7 minutes walking to El Maadi Metro Station and Metro Supermarket
15 minutes to Midan Victoria AUC bus stop

The area is very convenient. You can get to the metro in no time. Midan Victoria is about 15-20 minute walk. Metro market is 10 mins away and there are tons of places with a few blocks to pick up this and that.

Here is the entryway. It has a extra long couch and a nice table for having dinner, joint web surfing, or a card game.

Here's the living room. As you can see lots of seating, new curtains, lots of shelving, and a TV which is hooked up to a free satellite connection. The router is in here too, so wireless reaches to every room very well. The apartment gets lots of great natural light and some pretty amazing sunsets in the evening. See the picture from the roof (which is on the same side of the building).

Here is the view from the West side of the living room.

Here is the bathroom which was remodeled last summer- new sink, tub, tile, and toilet. Good water pressure and nice warm showers (hot water can't run out).
Just think...YOU TOO could put your toothpaste here!

The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, new knives, pots, pans, an automatic washing machine, microwave, large stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, water filter, and plenty of cabinet space. I'm not crazy about the color of the cabinets but hey, as long as the food's tasty, right?
Yes, that is a magnetic spice rack!

The master bedroom. If you're a couple this could be yours! On the left is a very big wardrobe for hanging up clothes and storing things away. There is a also a chest of drawers that provides even more space. On the right, there is a strong AC that works very well. The desk under the AC that is great study/work space. The bed's a bit firm but I've been comfortable and have enjoyed the roominess. Also, if you don't like the green, there are a lot of sheets of different colors that come with the place. Also there's a very warm comforter that comes in handy in the winter months.

Here is the side bedroom. Comfortable for one, it's got a desk, a huge mirror (very cool IMO) and lots of modular storage. There is a good quiet AC here as well.  Also the bed was just put in. Brought over from the US, it's a real Sealy mattress complete with box spring and adjustable metal frame. (If the idea of a real mattress doesn't sound amazing to you, you haven't lived in Egypt long enough!) If you decide to get a bigger mattress the metal frame can be easily adjusted to fit much larger sizes.Storage space and desk

View from the roof. Apparently, anyone in the building could use the roof, but no one does! It'd be great for sunset barbecues or dinners. Use your imagination!
This is essentially the same view from the living room.
